84-5-104. Formal requirements. A letter of credit, confirmation, advice, transfer, amendment or cancellation may be issued in any form that is a record and is authenticated (i) by a signature or (ii) in accordance with the agreement of the parties or the standard practice referred to in K.S.A. 84-5-108(e).

This section is derived from the former 84-5-104 and part of 84-5-102. It is identical to the 1995 Official Text. The letter of credit, advice, transfer, amendment or cancellation does not require any particular format. The only requirements imposed by this section is that the letter of credit may be proven and authenticated.

Former section 84-5-104 was repealed by L. 1996, ch. 202, § 91 and the number reassigned to the current text.
