CASE ANNOTATIONS

1. Petition insufficient to confer jurisdiction on probate court; notice; hearing. Johnson v. Best, 156 Kan. 668, 671, 135 P.2d 896.

2. Word "custodian" defined; order appointing guardian void; child's custody determined. Paronto v. Armstrong, 161 Kan. 720, 726, 171 P.2d 299.

3. Notice necessary in guardianship proceeding mentioned (dicta). In re Estate of Paronto, 163 Kan. 85, 93, 180 P.2d 302.

4. Appointment of guardian; probate court's jurisdiction is exclusive after sufficient petition filed; "ward" includes person against whom a finding of incompetency is sought. Vilm v. Hudson, 167 Kan. 372, 374, 205 P.2d 1021.
