48-271. All benefits under this act shall be gratuities and shall not be deemed a part or right of any employment contract. No person shall acquire a vested interest in any benefit or payment under this act for any moneys not in hand received by such individual. The legislature reserves to itself the right to amend or repeal this act or any part thereof at any time.
