CASE ANNOTATIONS

1. No credit allowed toward controlling sentence (K.S.A. 21-4614a) for time spent under house arrest. State v. Williams, 18 Kan. App. 2d 424, 431, 856 P.2d 158 (1993).

2. Whether house arrest constitutes imprisonment under K.S.A. 21-3405b(b)(2) examined. State v. Scherzer, 254 Kan. 926, 927, 869 P.2d 729 (1994).

3. Court may order house arrest even if county has not implemented a house arrest program. State v. Strand, 261 Kan. 895, 896, 898, 900, 933 P.2d 713 (1997).

4. Legislative intent to not include deprivation of essential activities or privileges as house arrest sanction under K.S.A. 21-4603b(d). State v. Schad, 41 Kan. App. 2d 805, 206 P.3d 22 (2009).
