13-14,107. For the purpose of defraying a portion of the cost of such retirement system, the governing body of any such city having provided by ordinance for a retirement plan, as herein provided, is authorized and empowered either to: (1) Levy a tax on all taxable tangible property within the city for such purpose and to pay a portion of the principal and interest on bonds issued by such city under the authority of K.S.A. 12-1774, and amendments thereto; or (2) use any miscellaneous revenues in the general government fund; or (3) use revenues from both such tax levy and such miscellaneous fund; or (4) use moneys from any employee benefits contribution fund established pursuant to K.S.A. 12-16,102.
