22-2610. Property taken in other state and brought into this state. When property taken in another state by theft or robbery shall have been brought into this state, the venue is in any county into or through which such property shall have been brought.

CASE ANNOTATIONS

1. Where theft of property occurs in another state, venue for prosecution in Kansas lies in county where property found. State v. Shoemake, 228 Kan. 572, 575, 618 P.2d 1201.

2. Cited; theft commenced in Arkansas was completed in Kansas; venue was in Kansas under facts of case. State v. Lashley, 233 Kan. 620, 630, 664 P.2d 1358 (1983).

3. Where theft occurs in another state, trial may be had in county where property recovered. State v. Freitag, 247 Kan. 499, 502, 802 P.2d 502 (1990).
