16a-3-306. No consumer or any other person acting on the consumer's behalf may authorize any person to confess judgment on a claim arising out of a consumer credit transaction. An authorization in violation of this section shall be void.

This section does not prohibit the consumer from confessing judgment in connection with litigation. A similar prohibition is found in the F.T.C. Credit Practices Rule, 16 C.F.R. Part 444.
